THE METHOD

Emotional Awareness
Mindfulness Meditation

Most meditation guides ask you to sit still first. This begins one step earlier.

Watch the breath, quiet the mind, as if stillness were the entry fee. For most people, stillness isn’t the first thing that’s possible. Something has to be met before it can be released.

This isn’t a technique you’re handed and sent off to practice alone.

The hardest part is staying present through the initial movements, instead of reaching for a distraction is the part I stay for.

THE FIVE MOVEMENTS OF AWARENESS

The framework beneath everything.

One

Notice

What’s actually here, not what you think should be here.

Two

Allow

Let it exist without pushing it away or being pulled under by it.

Three

Understand

Not analysis, just seeing clearly what it is, and what it’s protecting.

Four

Integrate

Nothing forced. What’s understood doesn’t need to be fought anymore.

Five

Live consciously

Stillness, when it comes, is what’s left, not what you fought for.

Meditation is the doorway. It was never the destination.
